This policy explains how our iPhone and iPad apps handle your information. It applies to every app we publish, including those released under the Corvexus brand:
It also applies to any future app we release, unless that app ships with its own policy that says otherwise.
The short version: our apps do not collect your personal information. There are no user accounts, no analytics, no advertising and no tracking. What you create in the app stays on your device, and we have no way to see it. Nothing is uploaded to us, because we do not operate servers that receive your content.
Our apps save your work locally, in the app's own private storage area on your device. This storage is sandboxed by iOS: other apps cannot read it, and neither can we.

If you delete an app, iOS deletes this storage with it. Because we hold no copy, deleting the app removes the data permanently — so export anything you want to keep first.
Our apps ask for camera permission so they can do the job you opened them for: photographing an invoice, reading a barcode or QR code, reading a model or serial plate, photographing an item for your records, or measuring a room. iOS asks your permission the first time, and you can change it at any time in Settings › Privacy & Security › Camera.
Images captured through the camera are written to the app's local storage on your device. They are not uploaded anywhere.
Where an app lets you choose an existing photo instead of taking a new one, it uses Apple's standard photo picker. That picker runs outside the app and hands over only the specific image you select — the app never gets access to the rest of your photo library.
Text recognition, barcode and QR reading, image recognition and room measurement all run locally on your device using Apple's built-in frameworks. Your photos and documents are not sent to us or to any third party for processing. This is why these features keep working with no internet connection.
Information only leaves your device when you deliberately send it somewhere. Specifically:
When you use an export, share or print option — for example saving a PDF, exporting a CSV asset register, producing an insurance schedule, printing an asset tag, or sending a file by email, message or AirDrop — iOS hands the file to whichever destination you pick. From that point it is governed by the privacy terms of the app, service or person you sent it to. We are not involved in that transfer and receive no copy.
Corvexus AssetTrack can offer to look up current pricing for an item. Choosing this opens a search in your web browser. Once you leave the app, the browser and the website you land on apply their own privacy terms. The app sends nothing to us.
If you have iCloud Backup or encrypted computer backups turned on, iOS may include our apps' local data in your backup, in the same way it does for other apps. Those backups are your own, held under your Apple Account and governed by Apple's Privacy Policy. We have no access to them.
If you have chosen to share analytics with developers in Settings › Privacy & Security › Analytics & Improvements, Apple may provide us with aggregated, anonymised crash and performance reports. These come from Apple, do not identify you, and contain none of your content. You can turn this off in that same settings screen.
Some of our apps offer a paid upgrade or subscription. All purchases are processed by Apple through the App Store. Apple handles your payment details — we never see or receive your card number, billing address or Apple Account credentials. The app checks with Apple only to confirm whether a purchase is active, so it knows which features to unlock.
Billing, refunds and subscription management are handled by Apple. You can view or cancel a subscription in Settings › [your name] › Subscriptions. Apple's handling of your purchase information is covered by Apple's Privacy Policy.
Our apps are general-purpose tools intended for a general audience. They are not directed at children, and they do not knowingly collect information from anyone, including children. Because we collect nothing and operate no accounts, there is no children's data for us to hold or remove.
Privacy laws — including the Australian Privacy Act 1988, the EU and UK GDPR, and the California Consumer Privacy Act — give you rights to access, correct, export and delete personal information a business holds about you.
We hold none. We have no database of users, no server-side copy of your content and no way to identify you. In practice this means:
If you believe we hold information about you and would like it addressed, contact us using the details below and we will respond.
Your information is protected by the security built into iOS: app sandboxing, and device encryption whenever you have a passcode, Face ID or Touch ID set. Keeping a passcode enabled and your device updated is the most effective way to protect what is stored in these apps.
We do not include third-party analytics, advertising, attribution or tracking services in our apps. The only outside party involved is Apple, through the App Store and the standard iOS frameworks our apps are built on.
If we change how our apps handle information, we will update this page and change the date at the top. If a change is significant, we will say so clearly in the app's release notes. Continuing to use the apps after an update means you accept the revised policy.
