Privacy Policy

Last updated: 23 August 2026

Brighton Handyman Services, operating its software products under the Corvexus and Brighton Handy Apps brands (“we”, “us”, or “our”), respects your privacy and is committed to protecting personal information.

This Privacy Policy explains how information is handled when you use our websites, applications and related services.

1. Apps Covered by This Policy

This Privacy Policy applies to applications published by Brighton Handyman Services, including:

  • PlanScan Pro
  • PlanCad Pro
  • Builders Calculator
  • Invoice Capture Pro
  • other Corvexus or Brighton Handy Apps applications that link to this Privacy Policy

This policy may also apply to future applications released by us unless that application is provided with its own privacy policy.

Where an individual application has additional privacy information displayed within the app or on its App Store listing, that information should be read together with this Privacy Policy.

Our applications are designed with a privacy-first approach. Wherever reasonably possible, project information and user-created content are processed and stored locally on the user’s device rather than being automatically transmitted to us.

2. Our Privacy Principles

Our current applications are designed around several basic principles:

  • We do not sell personal information.
  • We do not sell user-created plans, drawings, invoices or project information.
  • We do not use user project information for targeted advertising.
  • We do not operate third-party advertising networks inside our professional applications unless clearly disclosed in the future.
  • We do not require access to information that is unnecessary for an application’s functionality.
  • Device permissions are requested only when required for a feature selected by the user.
  • Wherever practical, document, scanning, calculation and project processing is performed on the user’s device.
  • Users remain in control of when project information is exported or shared.

If these practices materially change, this Privacy Policy and the relevant App Store privacy disclosures will be updated.

3. Information Our Apps May Handle

The information handled depends on which application and features you use.

Project and Job Information

Our apps may allow you to create or enter information such as:

  • project or job names
  • client or customer names
  • property or project addresses
  • notes
  • measurements
  • dimensions
  • quantities
  • building information
  • room information
  • construction information
  • plans and drawings
  • CAD information
  • photographs
  • scanned room geometry
  • LiDAR-generated spatial information
  • imported files
  • invoice documents
  • supplier details
  • invoice numbers
  • invoice dates
  • invoice amounts
  • taxation or accounting information entered by the user
  • calculation results
  • materials information
  • estimates and other project-related information

This information may contain personal information about you, your customers, property owners, contractors, suppliers or other people.

Creating or storing this information inside an app does not necessarily mean that Brighton Handyman Services receives it.

Where information is stored only within the application on your device, we do not automatically receive or have access to that information.

4. PlanScan Pro

PlanScan Pro may use compatible Apple device hardware and frameworks to capture building and room information.

Depending on the features used, this can include access to:

  • the camera
  • LiDAR and depth information on compatible devices
  • photographs selected or captured by the user
  • room geometry
  • walls
  • doors
  • windows
  • openings
  • fixtures
  • objects
  • measurements
  • floor plans
  • 2D and 3D project information
  • files imported or exported by the user

Camera and scanning information is used to provide the scanning, measurement, modelling, editing and documentation functions requested by the user.

PlanScan Pro is not intended to use camera or LiDAR information for advertising, user tracking or biometric identification.

Project data is designed to remain under the user’s control and is not automatically published or shared with other PlanScan users.

Where a user deliberately exports, shares or transfers a PlanScan project, the information will be provided to the destination selected by that user.

5. PlanCad Pro

PlanCad Pro may process:

  • CAD drawings
  • floor plans
  • building geometry
  • site information
  • dimensions
  • imported project files
  • exported project files
  • annotations
  • project details
  • user-created drawings
  • information transferred from compatible Corvexus applications

This information is used to provide drafting, editing, modelling, documentation and export functionality.

Files are not automatically made public.

When a user chooses to export or share a drawing or project through Files, AirDrop, email, another application or another supported transfer method, that transfer is initiated by the user.

Information sent to a third-party application or service is then subject to that provider’s privacy practices.

6. Builders Calculator

Builders Calculator may process values entered by the user, including:

  • dimensions
  • areas
  • quantities
  • material requirements
  • construction calculations
  • costing information
  • other calculation inputs and results

Calculation information is primarily used to perform the calculations requested by the user.

We do not use construction calculations or project values for advertising or data brokerage.

Where calculation information is saved locally, it remains on the user’s device unless the user chooses to export or share it.

7. Invoice Capture Pro

Invoice Capture Pro may request access to the camera, photo library or Files when required for the user to capture or import a document.

Information processed may include:

  • photographs or images of invoices and receipts
  • supplier or business names
  • dates
  • invoice numbers
  • amounts
  • GST or tax information
  • descriptions
  • line items
  • project information
  • payment or banking information appearing on documents
  • other information contained in documents selected by the user

The app is designed to process captured information for invoice organisation, recognition, storage and export functionality.

Invoice information is not sold or used for advertising.

We do not automatically use information contained within an invoice to perform financial transactions.

Where invoice recognition or document processing is performed on the device, the underlying document does not need to be transmitted to Brighton Handyman Services.

If a future feature requires information to be transmitted to a server or third-party processing service, that feature will be clearly disclosed and this Privacy Policy and relevant App Store privacy information will be updated where required.

8. Camera, Photos, Files and Device Permissions

Some features require access to protected device capabilities.

Depending on the application, permission may be requested for:

  • Camera
  • Photos
  • Files or document selection
  • LiDAR or depth-enabled scanning functionality
  • local network or nearby-device functionality where required for an enabled sharing feature
  • other device capabilities required to perform a feature requested by the user

Permissions are controlled by Apple’s operating system.

Users can review or revoke permissions through their device’s Settings and Privacy & Security controls.

Removing a permission may prevent features that depend on that permission from operating correctly.

We do not interpret permission to use one feature as permission to use information for unrelated purposes.

9. Files, Exports and Sharing

Our apps may allow users to create or export information in formats including plans, images, reports, CAD files, project files, PDFs or other documents.

A user may choose to transfer information using services such as:

  • Apple Files
  • iCloud Drive
  • AirDrop
  • Mail
  • Messages
  • another compatible application
  • another device
  • other share destinations available through Apple’s sharing system

Once information is deliberately transferred to another person, device, application or service, its subsequent handling may be governed by the recipient or third-party provider’s privacy policy.

We cannot control information after a user independently exports or distributes it.

10. Purchases and Subscriptions

Paid applications, subscriptions and in-app purchases may be processed through Apple’s App Store and StoreKit systems.

Apple handles the user’s App Store account and payment processing.

We do not receive or store full credit card or debit card details used to make an App Store purchase.

Our applications may receive information necessary to determine purchase and subscription status, such as:

  • product or subscription purchased
  • entitlement status
  • transaction status
  • subscription validity
  • renewal or expiry status
  • transaction identifiers or related StoreKit information where necessary

This information is used to provide purchased features and manage entitlements.

Apple’s handling of App Store account and transaction information is governed by Apple’s own privacy policies and terms.

11. Diagnostics and Performance Information

Apple may provide developers with crash, performance and diagnostic information when a user has chosen to share such information with Apple and developers.

This may include information such as:

  • device model
  • operating system version
  • application version
  • crash logs
  • error information
  • performance information
  • technical information required to investigate a fault

We may use this information to:

  • identify crashes
  • improve reliability
  • diagnose software problems
  • improve compatibility
  • improve application performance
  • protect the integrity of our applications

We do not use diagnostic information for targeted advertising.

12. Support Communications

If you contact us for support, submit feedback or make a privacy request, we may receive information you voluntarily provide, including:

  • your name
  • email address
  • the application being used
  • device or operating system information
  • screenshots
  • project information you deliberately attach
  • correspondence
  • other information necessary to investigate your request

Please do not send confidential client information, invoices, plans or other personal information to support unless it is necessary for us to assist you.

Information provided to support is used to respond to the request, investigate issues, improve our products and maintain appropriate business records.

13. Automated Processing and App Intelligence

Some Corvexus applications may use automated processing to analyse measurements, drawings, documents, scans or project geometry and provide suggested results, corrections, calculations or other assistance.

These functions are tools intended to assist the user.

Unless expressly stated otherwise, these features are not designed to make automated decisions about a person that determine legal rights, employment, credit, insurance, eligibility or similarly significant personal outcomes.

Users remain responsible for reviewing plans, measurements, calculations, recognised invoice information and other generated outputs before relying on them professionally or commercially.

14. How We Use Information

Where we receive or otherwise handle personal information, we may use it to:

  • operate the requested application or service
  • provide application functionality
  • maintain subscriptions and entitlements
  • provide customer support
  • investigate errors or crashes
  • improve reliability and performance
  • prevent fraud, misuse or security threats
  • communicate about support requests
  • comply with applicable laws and lawful requests
  • protect our legal rights
  • develop and improve our products using information that is appropriately available to us

We do not sell project information or personal information to data brokers.

15. Advertising and Tracking

At the date of this policy, our professional Corvexus applications are not designed around third-party behavioural advertising.

We do not sell personal information for targeted advertising.

We do not intentionally use project plans, invoice contents, LiDAR scans or construction calculations to create advertising profiles.

If we introduce advertising, analytics or tracking technology that materially changes these practices in a future application or version, we will update our disclosures and request any permission required by law or Apple’s policies.

16. Data Storage

Much of the information created within our applications is designed to be stored locally on the user’s Apple device.

Local data generally remains until:

  • the user deletes the relevant item or project;
  • the application provides and the user selects a delete function;
  • the application’s data is otherwise removed through the operating system; or
  • the application is deleted from the device.

Device backups may retain copies of application information depending on the user’s Apple backup and iCloud settings.

Files that users deliberately save to iCloud Drive, Files or another storage provider are controlled through that service and may remain there after the original information is removed from the app.

17. Data Retention

We aim to retain personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purpose for which it was collected or where retention is required by law.

Different information may have different retention periods.

For example:

  • Locally stored projects and documents: retained on the user’s device until deleted by the user, removed by the operating system, or the application is removed, subject to device backups.
  • Support correspondence: retained for as long as reasonably necessary to resolve the matter, maintain support records, protect legal rights or comply with legal obligations.
  • Diagnostic information: retained only for as long as reasonably necessary to diagnose problems and improve our applications.
  • App Store transaction information: transaction and payment information controlled by Apple is retained according to Apple’s policies. We may retain information necessary to recognise valid application entitlements where required.

Information that is no longer reasonably required may be deleted, securely destroyed or de-identified where appropriate.

18. Deleting Your Information

Where an app provides project or document deletion controls, users can delete their information directly within the app.

A user may also remove locally stored application information by deleting the application, subject to information that may remain within device or cloud backups.

Information previously exported by the user to Files, iCloud Drive, email, another application or another person must generally be deleted from that destination separately.

If you believe Brighton Handyman Services holds personal information about you on systems controlled by us and you would like it deleted, contact:

Brightonhandyapps@gmail.com

Please identify the application involved and the information you are requesting to have deleted.

We may need to retain limited information where required by law, for fraud prevention, dispute resolution or legitimate legal purposes.

We cannot directly delete information held independently by Apple or another third-party provider.

19. Security

We take reasonable measures appropriate to the nature of our applications and the information involved to protect information against:

  • unauthorised access
  • misuse
  • interference
  • loss
  • modification
  • unauthorised disclosure

On-device information also benefits from security protections provided by Apple and the security settings selected by the user.

Users should protect their device with an appropriate passcode, Face ID or Touch ID where available.

No electronic storage or transmission method can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

20. Third-Party Services

Our applications rely on Apple technologies and services required for distribution and operation on Apple devices.

These may include services such as:

  • Apple App Store
  • StoreKit
  • iOS and iPadOS frameworks
  • Apple Files
  • iCloud where selected or enabled by the user
  • Apple-provided sharing services
  • Apple diagnostics

Users may also choose to send information to third-party applications or services using standard Apple sharing features.

Third-party providers operate according to their own terms and privacy practices.

Where we deliberately engage a third-party service provider to process personal information on our behalf, we take reasonable steps to select providers capable of protecting that information consistently with applicable privacy requirements.

21. Overseas Processing

Brighton Handyman Services operates in Australia.

Some technology providers used in connection with our apps or website, including Apple and website infrastructure providers, operate internationally.

As a result, information handled by those services may be processed or stored in the United States or other countries in which those providers maintain infrastructure or operations.

The exact processing location may vary according to the service, user’s location and provider infrastructure.

Information independently transferred by a user to an overseas person, cloud provider, email provider or other service may also be handled overseas according to that provider’s practices.

22. Website Information

When you visit our website, our hosting provider may automatically process basic technical information ordinarily required to deliver a website, such as:

  • IP address
  • browser type
  • device information
  • requested pages
  • date and time of access
  • server diagnostic information

Hosting providers may also use essential cookies or similar technology required to provide their services.

We do not use information submitted through our applications simply because a user visits our website.

23. Information About Other People

Our professional applications may allow users to record information relating to clients, customers, property owners, contractors, employees, suppliers or other people.

If you enter, scan, import or store information relating to another person, you are responsible for ensuring that you have an appropriate lawful basis, permission or authority to handle that information.

Users should avoid collecting unnecessary personal information through our applications.

24. Children’s Privacy

Our current professional, construction, productivity and business applications are not primarily directed to children under 13.

We do not knowingly seek to collect personal information from children for advertising or profiling purposes.

If a future application is specifically designed for children, we will provide additional privacy protections and disclosures where required.

If you believe a child has provided personal information directly to us without appropriate authorisation, please contact us.

25. Your Privacy Rights

Depending on where you live and the law that applies, you may have rights relating to personal information held by us, including rights to:

  • request access
  • request correction
  • request deletion
  • withdraw consent where processing is based on consent
  • object to or restrict certain processing
  • obtain information about how personal information is used
  • make a privacy complaint
  • request portability of certain information where applicable

Because much of our app information is stored only on the user’s device, we may not possess the information being requested.

Where this occurs, we will explain that to you where reasonably possible.

To make a privacy request, contact:

Brightonhandyapps@gmail.com

Please include enough information for us to identify the application and privacy issue concerned.

26. Australian Privacy

We are based in Australia and aim to manage personal information transparently and responsibly.

Where applicable to our activities, our handling of personal information is intended to be consistent with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs).

Nothing in this Privacy Policy limits any privacy right that cannot lawfully be excluded.

27. Privacy Complaints

If you believe that we have mishandled your personal information, please contact us first at:

Brightonhandyapps@gmail.com

Include:

  • the application or service involved
  • a description of your concern
  • any relevant dates or information that may help us investigate

We will review privacy complaints and respond within a reasonable period.

If applicable Australian privacy law applies and you are not satisfied with our response, you may also have the right to contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC).

28. Changes to This Privacy Policy

Our applications will continue to develop.

We may update this Privacy Policy where:

  • new applications are released
  • new features are introduced
  • our data practices change
  • third-party services change
  • legal or regulatory requirements change
  • Apple platform requirements change

The latest version will be published on our website with an updated “Last updated” date.

Material changes will be communicated where required by applicable law.

Continued use of an application after a policy update does not override any consent requirement imposed by law.
